Hog Fest 2027 - Leaders Event
Friday 16th July to Sunday 18th July 2027
Event Details
The event will take place on Friday 16th July - Sunday 18th July 2027 and shall run between 4:00pm on the Friday - 2:00pm on the Sunday.
The cost will be £30 (£25 early bird ticket booked before 31st December 2026) for a weekend ticket and £20.50 (£18 early bird ticket booked before 31st December 2026) for a Saturday only ticket. This event is only open to Adult (18+) Leaders, Trustees, Network Members and all adults with a Scout Membership Number within Hampshire Scouts.
Each person booked onto the event will receive a special Hog Fest 2027 badge.

Throughout the weekend we shall have a range of our onsite activities running including Climbing, Quick Jump, Leap of Faith, 3 Stack, Zip Wire, Archery, Crossbows, Tomahawk Throwing, Rifle Shooting to Crazy Golf, Low Ropes, Frisbee Golf and Abseiling to name but a few.
There shall be a variety of workshops available during the day which attendees can book onto. We are just awaiting to hear back from teams before confirming what these shall be.
There shall also be a selection of stalls within the marquees which will include a variety of teams within Hampshire Scouts, External organisations that may be able to provide you with valuable information to take forward and use with your teams.
There shall then be evening activities taking place during the camp, such as a Quiz, Silent Disco, Bingo, Arcade and Chill out zones.
Friday - attendees can start to arrive to site from 4:00pm to start setting up their camp. Check in will be open until 9pm. We shall have some food vendors onsite during the evening and will have an evening activity taking place in the main marquees to start the weekend off.
Saturday - There shall be an opening ceremony to start the day around 9am. Daytime activities will run between the following times:
Session One - 9:30am - 12:30pm
Lunch Break - 12:30pm - 1:30pm
Session Two - 1:30pm - 4:30pm
There will then be a dinner break and free time until 8:00pm. Evening activities will then start at 8:00pm until midnight.
Sunday - Daytime activities will start again at 9:00am and finish at 1:00pm. There shall then be a closing ceremony between 1:45 - 2:00pm, with departure from camp between 2:00 - 4:00pm.
Food and Refreshments
There shall be no centralised catering that can be pre-booked prior to the event. Attendees shall need to either self-cater during the camp and bring along their own cooking equipment, or there shall be a variety of food vendors available on site which can be purchased from directly (this is outside of the ticket cost).
Any food deliveries can take place from 4:00pm on the Friday. Please ensure that a member of your group is onsite to meet the drivers and that leader names and contact details are included on the booking details for these.
Camping
Two nights camping is included within the weekend ticket price. There shall be limited indoor accommodation available but only for attendees that have specific medical requirements. This is on a first come first served basis and can be requested within the personal details form that you shall be sent once a booking has been made. If a booking is made for more than one attendee, each attendee will be required to complete the form.
terms and conditions
Ferny Crofts have implemented a few terms and conditions for the event which are in addition to our standard site Terms and Site Rules:

If you are booking for a group of attendees, we shall require names and contact details of each person attending. Once a booking has been made, you shall be sent a link to a personal details form which each person will need to complete.

Attendance must be booked in advance. Turning up on the day of the event will not be permitted, due to the event programme layout and staffing having to be confirmed before the event starts.

This event is open to all over 18 Hampshire Leaders, Trustees, Network members and ALL adults with a Scout Membership.

Bookings are to be made through our online portal, with full payment being made at the time of booking.

Refunds cannot be issued once a booking has been made.

Weekend bookings for this event will include 2 nights camping (with your own camping equipment). If you require indoor accommodation, due to an existing medical condition, such as, sleep apnoea, please state this within the personal details form. Please note that there will be limited availability for indoor accommodation and that this may involve sharing a room with other people.

Catering is not provided within the ticket price for this event. However, there shall be a food court available that will contain a selection of food/drink vendors to purchase directly from. Alternatively, you can bring your own cooking facilities and self-cater during the camp.

Early bird Weekend tickets (£25 each) are available until the 31st December 2026. Bookings made beyond this date shall be increased to £30 (weekend ticket). Saturday day tickets are £18 when booked before December 31st 2026, then shall raise to £20.50.

All tickets to this event will include one limited event badge, per attendee.

Specific event details shall be sent to all attendees a few weeks before the event takes place.

Attendees are welcome to bring their own alcohol for camp. However, responsible levels of consumption must be adhered to. Management reserve the right to remove anyone from site, should their conduct fall below the expected standard of an adult in Scouting.

All attendees of the event must respect and adhere to the instructions and directions given by the event staff including volunteers.

There is limited parking at Ferny Crofts, so we encourage everyone to car share as much as possible, to help with the car park capacity.

Attendees understand that both photographic and video footage will be taken during the event and shall be used by Ferny Crofts and Hampshire Scouts on social media, websites and future advertising materials such as leaflets and posters.

Management reserves the right to remove anyone from site, should their conduct fall below the expected standard of an adult in Scouting.

Due to the high number of vehicles expected to arrive to site, please be advised that the car park will be very busy and queues will be highly likely whilst our volunteers/staff get vehicles parked. We recommend car sharing as much as possible to help reduce the volume of cars on site.
