SCHOOLS AND YOUTH GROUPS
INFORMATION AND AVAILABILITY DURING CORONAVIRUS RESTRICTIONS
Ferny Crofts is now open for Schools and other Youth Groups to use our Outdoor and Indoor spaces, as day visitors and as residential guests. As long as this use is approved by the Department for Education or Governing Body as relevant.

WHAT IS ON OFFER
We are currently open for Schools and other Youth Groups to use the following facilities:

The camping fields for day use

Camping overnight including Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition camping.

The Conservatory Indoor Space
-
The Mountbatten Lodge and Croft Centre for overnight stays, in accordance with latest Department for Education guidelines.
We will be open 7 days per week, with bookings to be made by email. It is essential that you do not attend site without having a booking confirmed.
We are taking bookings for Self-Led Activities and instructed Activities with certain limitations and social distancing measures in place for your safety.
COVID 19 Coronavirus Safety
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic, we will have a number of measures in place to help keep you and your Group safe during your time with us. We also have some additional rules and information in place which may differ from standard Ferny Crofts procedure.
This includes limiting site capacity to 50% of usual bookings, enhanced cleaning regimes, various social distancing measures, and allocating defined toilet facilities to your Group only. All of these will be explained to you when you place your booking.

We will be carefully managing the site to ensure social distancing guidelines can be met, so it is essential that you have a confirmed booking in place before attending the site.
We will provide you with full details of the safety measures in place when we confirm your booking.

ACTIVITIES ON OFFER
You can book the site for your own planned activity, or alternatively we are currently offering the majority of self-led and instructed activities, with the exception of the following:

Instructed activities will be delivered in a slightly different manner to our standard procedures to ensure social distancing is maintained at all times.
IMPORTANT
Ferny Crofts has carried out a detail risk assessment regarding reopening the site to guests. However, it is the responsibility of the group leader to ensure a risk assessment has been carried out for your intended use of our space, to include all Coronavirus safety measures you will need to put in place to ensure the safety of your group members.
